Xulon Press Releases A Book About An Ordinary Man in an Extraordinary... Image David W. Edwards' book, The Cry of the Raven ($16.49, paperback, 9781545643006; $8.99, e-book, 9781545643013), is now available for purchase.

One man is sent to save his nation after great evil has engulfed the land. But first, he must battle his own fears and expectations. God sends him a helper who must also conquer himself first. Will they succeed in their mission?

People often think that the heroes of the Bible are “mighty men of valor” who are very nearly perfect. But when we look more closely at them, we discover that they are very much like us – weak, frightened, temperamental – and they, too, must face their own issues. In humanizing the people of the Bible, we see them both as heroes as well as real people with fears and doubts just like we have. They were ordinary people facing extraordinary situations in which the outcomes were not at all certain.

David W. Edwards has been a pastor for nearly forty years and holds a Master’s degree in Theology. His previous work, One Book One Story, was published by Xulon in 2017.

Xulon Press, a division of Salem Media Group, is the world’s largest Christian self-publisher, with more than 12,000 titles published to date. The Cry of the Raven is available online through xulonpress.com/bookstore, amazon.com, and barnesandnoble.com.
