God delivered Emerson D. Broadnax from a twenty-three year drug habit of cocaine, alcohol, and heroin abuse over the course of a year and a half and it was over 24 years ago. God brought him out with a mighty hand. Not only was he delivered but God also changed his direction in life. He called Broadnax to the ministry and ordained him as an Elder at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit Church. He has been a Chaplin over the Men's Prison Ministry and team member for over twenty years. Broadnax has also been a member of the Women's Prison Ministry for over seven years. He has been a Chaplin for the Nursing Home Ministry, as well as assisting the Feeding Program of his church for over twenty years. He has lead devotions in a Women's Transition House for over seven years.
