TESOL International Association, the global association for English language educators, will convene its international convention at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas USA, from 20 to 23 March 2013.
Considered the premier event on English language teaching worldwide, the TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo features educational sessions and experts on a broad variety of topics, including language testing and assessment, technology in language learning, bilingual education, and standards.
Under the banner "Harmonizing Language, Heritage, & Cultures," the 2013 convention will showcase more than 1,000 educational sessions presented by speakers from more than 75 countries. In addition, the English Language Expo will feature one of the largest exhibitions of its kind in the world, with more than 130 exhibitors offering the leading products and services for English language educators and their classrooms.
The international array of keynote speakers for the convention includes John Hunter, teacher, musician, and inventor of the World Peace Game; Thomas Nakayama, professor of communication studies at Northeastern University, USA, and founding editor of the Journal of International and Intercultural Communication; Suzanne Panferov, president of TESOL International Association, director of the Center for ESL at the University of Arizona, USA, and a faculty member in the MA ESL Program and PhD Program in SLA and Teaching; Aram deKoven, associate professor of education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, USA; and Bonny Norton, professor and Distinguished University Scholar, Department of Language and Literacy Education, University of British Columbia, Canada.
