About the Author
Mr. Beasley worked for forty-eight years, of which the final thirty-nine years of his career were in procurement. He began as a warehouse noncommissioned officer (NCO) in Crailsheim while serving three years in the US Army. He honed the personality traits of discipline, organization, respect for others, and sound logistic principles. These principles were the cornerstones for a very successful career in procurement.After his three-year tour of duty in the military, Bob became a junior buyer with Old Ben Coal Company, a subsidiary of Standard Oil of Ohio (SOHIO) and British Petroleum (BP). He was promoted numerous times from junior buyer to senior materials director, as he relocated three times to Lexington, Kentucky; Cleveland, Ohio; and Evansville, Indiana. Bob was with these companies for seventeen years.
