In his recent poetry collection, "Windows and Holidays" (published by iUniverse), which is set to appear in the New York Library Association's 2013 Annual Conference and Trade Show: Libraries Spark Imagination, Ejike Igboanugo gives readers access into a young person's expectations of a world which unfolds disquietingly.

Igboanugo describes "Windows and Holidays" as a collection of a young man's dreams about his immediate surrounding. He voices his concerns, primarily about conflicts that arise here and there throughout life. He considers the future, contemplates religion, addresses nature and raises questions regarding society in his poetry.

At the heart of "Windows and Holidays" lies a message of selflessness, and this collection conveys that it's important for people to get along with each other and strive for understanding, hope and peace. "Our hearts and our society need this desperately," Igboanugo says. "We must be reminded from time to time that work is love and love gathers all."
