In "Serpent and Savior" (published by Trafford Publishing), the new novel by William De Berg, a monstrous conspiracy is exposed that CIA agent and foreign news correspondent Marco Luchesi had never imagined could exist.

"Serpent and Savior" is about a skilled young intelligence agent who experiences many of the important events of the 21st century, both in the U.S. and overseas, and realizes the truth of who controls events in the world and why. Unfortunately, just as he has come to that important realization, he becomes the victim of a major plot by ex-M16 agent John Chandler against the Bilderberger empire, but not before he manages to fall in love with a beautiful British intelligence agent.

An excerpt from "Serpent and Savior":

"Outside of Farnsworth, no one knew what had become of John Chandler. And even he didn't know that much about Chandler, except that he was the greatest genius in the history of espionage. Strategically brilliant, he had a fantastic knowledge of geopolitics, great technical skills, and an impressive, even eerie, ability to manipulate people, including him. But most of all, Chandler had a grand vision of what the world was supposed to be like and a lack of fear in almost single-handedly challenging the most powerful organization the world had ever known. He himself may be a master spy, but Chandler was the master of him."

De Berg believes the history, action, romance, and political and financial intrigue in a variety of exotic locales will enlighten and entertain readers. He says, "They should enjoy a good read but also learn about the shadowy group of individuals and institutions who are attempting to control the world and our individual lives in an Orwellian fashion."
