Christy Denney, wife of John Denney (a long snapper for the Miami Dolphins), talks about her happy marriage.
"I think the key to having a happy marriage is to always be trying to make the other person happy and to be thinking about their needs. The only way that works, however, is if both husband and wife have that same goal. There can be a lot of stress in the NFL. We've been married 13 years, and my husband has played 10 of those years. We have a saying on our living room wall that says, 'There's No Place Like Home.' Sure, Dorothy may have said it, but it rings true. At the end of the day, when my husband and kids come home, I want them to feel the love and safeness that is here. We're Team Denney. Doesn't matter if you've botched a snap or someone was mean to you at school, we'll get through this together. There's no place like home."
Denney is a self-proclaimed foodaholic. She grew up in Mesa, Arizona, as the youngest of 10 kids. She has 40 nieces and nephews -- and counting. Food and family were always intertwined in her childhood, and most of her memories revolve around food. She took ballet and contemporary dance for 14 years, and also played the viola for 10 years.
