The Foundation for Christian Studies today announced the release of Eric Shuster's latest book, Where are the Christians: the Unrealized Potential of a Divided Religion. Immediately upon release Where are the Christians? becomes the definitive book on the present state of Christianity in America across denominational boundaries. Publishers Weekly describes Where are the Christians? as a "comprehensive survey of Christian populations" and "multi-layered work" in which "the reader is rewarded with a richer understanding of one's self and one's neighbors," adding the book "deserves a wide audience." A companion workbook was also released providing individual and group exercises complementing the book. Both works are available at a variety of storefront and online book retailers worldwide.

Where are the Christians? uses the classic format of who, what, where and how to explore Christianity and the dynamics that unite and divide the religion into the unrealized potential it suffers from today. The book enlightens readers as to who the Christians are from a historical perspective; what a Christian is from a spiritual perspective; where the Christians are from a behavioral perspective; and how Christianity can be strengthened and more united from a societal perspective. The book examines over 1,000 biblical and secular sources, analyzing data from a multitude of studies leading to unique perspectives and solutions to the challenges facing Christianity in the modern era. The book, which benefited from an ecumenical review board, contains an exclusive Christian Profiling exercise that identifies the reader as one of five Christian types (Departing, Adequate, Hesitant, Laboring or Latent) an exercise that can be completed online for free at www.findyourchristianity.com. There are already tens of thousands of views of the book trailer on YouTube.

"Eric Shuster is a gifted writer whose research background, life experiences and biblical knowledge deliver fresh perspectives on Christianity in America," says Lyle Mortimer, Chairman of Cedar Fort Publishing. "The goal was to write a book that answers the proverbial who, what, where and how of contemporary Christianity in America while challenging readers to examine their own discipleship toward reaching a greater potential in the gospel," says the author, Eric Shuster.
