One day, there was a phone call, then a visit and finally Zera opened her door to find William on the other side. She could not believe it and neither could her current husband, Steve, who actually served with William in the war. About the Author
Westley Thomas was born in the Bronx and raised in Staten Island. He served in Vietnam from 1966 through 1968 with the U.S. Marines and with the U.S. Marine Reserves from 1975 to 1977. He graduated from the College of Staten Island with a Bachelor of Arts in dramatic arts and now volunteers advocating for veterans rights.
