Wendake/Huron People Highlighted in THE STORYTELLER

A visit to the International Storytellers gathering in Whitehorse, Yukon territory inspired author Rocco Tedesco to share his tales, stories made over a period of more than 50 years. Some were told to him by his grandmother during World War 2, transmitting the heritage of the Native American Huron people. About the Author
Between the years of 1938 through the end of WW2, Rocco Tedesco, his mother and his sister lived with family near a reservation on a small farm in upstate New York. Writing was one way to escape and was one way to paint his world in any color he wanted. He started writing while he was in Vietnam, short stories which he sent home to his sons and daughters. He was 30 then and has been creating notes ever since 1966.
