Well-known Kingston Reverend Dr. Al Miller Gives Church Diagnosis and... Image Reverend and Jamaican church leader Dr. Al Miller believes the church is bruised and wounded. In his new book, Dr. Miller explains that the church has suffered untold damage and that it needs to be restored.

In “The Church!: Bruised, Wounded oops…ssshhh, What’s Up?!,” Dr. Miller provides a reverend’s perspective on the state of the church, an examination of its current status and ultimate purpose, and a call for healing and cooperation.

“I believe God is distressed with our increasingly rabid individualism,” Miller said. “I think he is hurt over the condition of the modern church; that he is grieved with our attitude and responses to one another. We need healing and we need it now.”

Dr. Miller is the founder of Whole Life Ministries and Senior Pastor and Apostolic Voice of Fellowship Tabernacle Ministries. He has served as pastor and advisor to many of Jamaica’s famous and infamous and was the instrumental figure in the peaceful apprehension of a Jamaican citizen who, at the time of his capture, was North America’s “most wanted person.”

“The purpose of this book is to encourage readers to consider the state of the church,” Miller said. “We need to examine what is happening and seek to understand God’s plan. In doing so, perhaps we will give ourselves to cooperating with God and to seeing his purpose fulfilled in our lifetime.”
