Arthur Webster has found both shelter and friendship in Mexico and his book details his and the people's lives there. "Under Sacanta's Shadow" (published by Xlibris) Webster writes to memorialize the years he has lived among the Mexican underclass.

Webster compiles stories of real people who gave him shelter and friendship when he first moved to Mexico. The gentleness and the touching way of life of the locals have opened the author's eyes. "Under Sacanta's Shadow," the people thrived, and in this book readers shall see how. Poignant, soulful and realistic, this compilation is the apt message of gratitude and the author's way of giving back to the people and the land that embraced him - flaws and all.

"Mexico provided the cure for all of my insecurities and self-doubts," Webster says. "I was accepted for who I was and not because of any preconceived notion judged by color, wealth or religion. There I found real friendship and a sense of peace among these gentle and loving people."

More than just a message of gratitude, Webster's narrative seeks to show a very vivid snapshot of the locals' lives and struggles under the ever watchful mountain god, Sacanta. "Under Sacanta's Shadow" shows a raw story of human grit, resilience and perseverance to triumph over life's odds and uncertainties.
