As of June 14, 2014, CNN has noted that there have been 74 school shootings in the past 18 months. Statistics from the Institute of Education Sciences may indicate a decline in status dropout rates from 12 percent in 1990 to seven percent in 2012, but this still means that thousands of American school youth do not graduate from high school. Shirley H. Wells saw the bleak picture painted by the current state of today's youth and sought to address it by writing "Who Do You Think You Are?" (published by Xlibris), a guide to help people set their life on the right track by helping them find the right mindset.
Wells has noted how people are constantly bombarded with negative concepts about who they are supposed to be. Parents, siblings, teachers, family and friends all influence and contribute to creating these false beliefs. This easily leads to people developing a negative inner voice that keeps them from success, happiness and love. "Who Do You Think You Are?" identifies the reasons behind this inner voice, the damage it causes and gives advice on how it may be suppressed. When the suggestions are followed, the book should help readers lead a happier, more successful and rewarding life.
This book offers a comprehensive guide to identifying and overcoming self-doubt, a book meant for anyone who has ever felt "not good enough". It helps people change their mind about who they are in order to live a more fulfilling life.
