Allyene Palmer presents readers with a new collection of poetry, "Whispers in the Wind" (published by Trafford Publishing), dedicated to her husband, kids, grandkids and close friends.

"Whispers in the Wind" has just been selected for inclusion in the Gold Seal program, which recognizes excellence in writing and overall potential.

The poems in Palmer's collection were written over her lifetime from her 20s to her 80s. The book opens with a short story that captures the flavor of the South and then segues into poems capturing Palmer's faith in the human spirit, the Lord and the power of prayer.

Palmer hopes to spread the word of God's love with her book she calls "Godspired."

"I hope to share with readers the beauty of a God and the life he will direct," Palmer says. "I have learned this through personal experience of living life and having a personal relationship with the Lord."
