CHARLESTON, S.C.

What would you do if your unborn grandchild was about to be aborted against your wishes?

Unfortunately, grandparents don't have many legal rights when it comes to these decisions if the pregnant woman is over the age of 18. Lenora Livingston found out about her son's unborn child back in 1982 while the mother was considering abortion. The author and former teacher is now sharing a miraculous story with readers in her new book, "Where's Stephanie."

Before this emotional time in Livingston's life, she had already experienced several major losses that made her value life on a higher level. When she was eight years old, she lost her mother. Then, as a young adult, she miscarried twice and lost her daughter at the age of nine. These deaths made Livingston even more passionate about not losing her future granddaughter.

"Where's Stephanie" tells of Livingston's incredible story of stopping an impending abortion and connecting with her granddaughter 27 years later by leaving clues in the child's file, hoping the bread crumbs would bring them back together some day. The book also provides readers with a list of adoption groups that can help in search for surrendered family members.

"Everybody has a story to tell," Livingston said. "I lived through the biggest miracle and felt I had to share that no matter how difficult things might be in your life, God is working his magic, even if you can't see it."
