WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH ENERGY? Solves Energy and Environment Problems

ASU Professor Joseph Hui, CEO of Monarch Power, wants to solve problems of energy, environment, and education. Before commercializing his inventions, he wrote "What's the Matter with Energy" on the science of energy. The book reveals his many recent inventions on solar power, heat engines, air conditioning, electric cars, magnetic levitation, water desalination, and solar cooking.

"My passion is to help people live a comfortable yet sustainable life," says Hui, aka Solar Man. "My proudest invention is the Hui heat turbine, good for every family to convert solar heat into electricity. My inventions use solar energy to give clean power, water, heat, and chill."

"The world needs clean water. With water and sunshine, we have food. To live comfortably, we control our climate. Add information and transportation, we become self-sufficient without power or water grids," says Solar Man. "Poor people can use my inventions to satisfy their need for water, energy, food, information, and transportation. I call that we-fit."

Solar Man loves young people who care about energy, environment, and education. He tells stories of scientists and inventors. "The book is colorful and easy. There are some equations, but I will post video explanation. Solar Wonderland, a science amusement park with maglev rides and 3D animation will be built to tell a story of space, time, matter, energy, and energy conversion."

Solar Man is traveling the world to promote his vision described in the book. "Global warming inundates islands and lowlands. Solar Man proposes building floating smart cities which are self-sufficient in we-fit amenities. Let's start with Hong Kong by building a floating Solar Wonderland."
