About the Author
William H. Shuttleworth was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1937; eventually settling in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1976. His lifelong craft as furniture finisher and restorer seemed to invite this adventurous transition. In younger, vibrant years, he followed God's call to serve as a lay-preacher for the American Rescue Workers Mission in Camden, New Jersey. Later, in the south, he studied art and became an exhibiting member of The Art League of Jacksonville.

His obsession with poetry began when challenged to write a poem in 1990. By 2005, he had authored five book titles sprinkled with various jottings of prose. During this same span, he received the ISP International Poet of Merit Award and three NLP Editor's Choice Awards. He's since been published in "The International Who's Who in Poetry," and is a member of the International Society of Poets, and more recently, The Academy of American Poets. Emerald Records of Nashville and Premier Melodies of New York have turned a few of his poems into songs.
