The teacher heard rumors about a wild boy running loose around the Morse farm. It was said he was half animal and had been heard barking at the moon. Nobody knew his name or anything about him. She walked to his desk. Up close, she could see some thin scars on his face. In spite of this, he was a remarkably handsome youngster. "Won't you please stand and tell us your name young man?" He looked at her kind face. "Please", she asked again. He slowly rose to his feet and spoke softly. "My name is Little Bastard", he said.

There are many forms of abuse. It's not all extreme. That old saying "Sticks and stones may break your bones but names will never hurt you" is a lie. Sometimes unkind words can cut someone like a knife. Unfortunately, abuse is very much a part of today's society. The author wants readers to feel his love for the grandson. He has lived vicariously through the character. As he wrote this story, he felt his pain, and was proud of the things he accomplished under difficult circumstances. He wants readers to share his troubled life and love him like the way he does.

This book is all about the evil unreasonable hatred of those who commit the crime of abuse. They have no pity and take pleasure in the pain of others. Abuse seems to be everywhere. It has touched so many people. The author hopes this book will appeal to those people and others who will stand up and say, "This has to stop."

Bill Harris was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1934. He was born out of wedlock in a time when illegitimacy was frowned upon. He met his soul mate at the age of 49. Her name was Susan Fox and she turned his life around. In 2003 his best friend, a troubled genius named Bill Folker, passed away. He mourned the thought that his 'one of a kind' comrade would soon be forgotten. His wife, Susan, convinced him to write a tribute book. Up until that time he had no idea he had he had an aptitude for writing. She led him down the path and writing is now his passion. He will write until time runs out.
