Author W. Thomas McDaniel, Jr. takes readers to "The Farther Side of Paradise" (published by Xlibris) to see what happens after the apocalypse prophesized by the Book of Revelation. His book shows the aftermath of Armageddon, death and salvation from the perspective of everyman, providing believers with a cautionary tale for the End Times.
"The Farther Side of Paradise" is a fictitious memoir written from Heaven after Judgment Day containing interviews of theologians, philosophers and military commanders, including the Supreme Commander of the Judeo-Christian Forces at the Battle of Armageddon. Through their testimonies, McDaniel affirms readers' faith in God and Christ, fortifying their spiritual beliefs and preparing them for the prophesized End Times. He also explains the nature of evil in the world and shows readers the way to combat it.
One of the notable portions of his book is an interview with Napoleon Bonaparte in Heaven wherein the former Emperor of France expresses his admiration for Christ.
"Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and I myself founded great empires; but upon what did these creations of genius depend - upon force? Jesus founded His Empire upon love, and to this very day, millions will die for Him," says Bonaparte. "I think I understand human nature; and I tell you, all of these were men, and I am a man: none else is like Him; Jesus was more than man."
"The Farther Side of Paradise" merges science and theology into unified theory of the universe, showing readers McDaniel's beliefs born from his experiences in the 20th century and his time as a military officer.
