Global warming is a much discussed and debated topic around the world that many people believe will cause a multitude of catastrophic events in the future. In her enchanting new book, "Voices in the Mist" (published by AuthorHouse), author J. S. Ralph incorporates the worldwide concerns of global warming into the mysterious and unknown Paxtey world. Created by Ralph, Paxteys are a new and unknown race of people whose world exists just beyond the sight and hearing of most humans.

"Readers will easily relate to this magical story because of the huge concerns of extreme weather and global warming," Ralph writes.

Suzy is a 12-year-old human girl who discovers Scratch, a tiny creature called a Paxtey. Suzy and Scratch band together to rescue some Paxteys after some unusually fierce storms wash them out of their homes.

After saving the Paxtey world, Suzy and Scratch embark on an adventure to rid the world of the wicked Ogystone, the evil voice in the mist responsible for the storms. On a journey filled with subtle lessons for the reader, Suzy and Scratch make a very sad discovery.

"This magical adventure story teaches us how to love and care for our world," Ralph explains. "It shows how humans and a completely new race of special, tiny people can live and work together."
