Victoria Stott would like to offer her support and encouragement to those who have suffered abuse. Those people she spoke with on a daily basis and in anonymous online forums, people in the news and fellow trauma survivors whose shared experiences touched her heart inspire Stott in writing "Nobody's Favorite: A Memoir" (published by iUniverse).

This memoir tells the story of Stott as a woman who was adopted in 1969 after two years in an orphanage and grew up in an abusive household. From her years of family trauma, she shares how she began her journey towards healing and hope.

"This book gives readers a glimpse into the ongoing nature of the impact of childhood neglect and sexual abuse," Stott points out. "The story highlights the fact that trauma itself begins and ends while overcoming the negative effect continue for the survivors. Trauma changes people lives, society needs to acknowledge this fact and realize that we are losing the war on sexual violence. We can do better."

Through the publication of "Nobody's Favorite," Stott hope readers will be inspired to take action against sexual violence, domestic violence and the societal impacts of these issues in their immediate circle of influence even if that means starting a discussion that can lead to ideas and ideas into action.
