Author Vic Piccolotto gathers dozens of his family-favorite recipes and shares them in his new cookbook, "Casalinga" (published by Xlibris AU). It offers a myriad of authentic Italian recipes and laces it with the tradition, art, history and culture of how it came to be.

The dishes author Piccolotto and his sisters grew up with and the dishes he discovered in his travels in different regions of Italy are shared in this wonderful cookbook. Readers will enjoy making and discovering exciting tastes and aromas that will surround their table and fill their kitchen for years to come. From pasta, risotto, pizza to pastries, it offers a plethora of savory Italian cuisine that upholds his family's cooking traditions.

"I recall the food, the tastes and aromas that daily filled our kitchen, my family at our dinner table every meal, the family discussions around that trusty kitchen table, the frequent gatherings my parents would have with their friends with laughter, food, coffee and lots of homemade wine and salami," author Piccolotto explains, "The kitchen would be filled to capacity on special events or holidays with relatives for hours and hours of conversation and food. Remembering all this, I knew that a family cookbook would be the perfect way to keep our family's spirit alive."

As well as keeping the stomach happy, "Casalinga" hopes to strengthen one's sense of family and develop good relationships through the remarkable bond of food.
