In her new book, "Don't Bite the Apple" (published by iUniverse), author Vanessa Waznis tells an exciting story about an attractive, hedge-fund owning socialite named David who is looking for love and finding far more.
David is falling quickly for the beautiful French actress, Valentina, but it seems like someone is trying to sabotage their relationship. He soon discovers, however, that it's far worse than that: not only does this mystery antagonist want them apart, but he's hired the notorious assassin Viktor Kozlov to kill David.
An excerpt from "Don't Bite the Apple":
"He took a deep breath and frowned. 'I know you've already experienced extreme shock this evening, but I must inform you that this situation requires immediate and thorough investigation, and we're going to need you back in New York immediately so we can gather further information.' He looked at me with the regretful expression of a doctor telling his patient, Hey, you beat cancer for now, but it's likely to come back.
'You see, David, you own one of the most sophisticated private jets in the world. The engine didn't blow up from a defect or malfunction. It blew up exactly four hours to the second after your departure.' He saw the confusion on my face, placed his hand on my shoulder, and leaned forward, looking into my eyes. His voice was low but sharp. 'There was an explosive on the engine,' he said. 'Someone must have gotten into the hangar in Teterboro and planted it. Mr. Epslamowitz, I suggest you hire a good security team. It seems somebody wants you dead.'"
Waznis intends to expose readers to new ideas and concepts. She says "to be successful, is not about how wealthy one is, but about who we are born as, in contrast to the people we ultimately become, and to live a life with peace, love and happiness, free from temptations. The more money one has the more temptations exist for you and those around you... especially in the Big Apple."
