University of Holy Cross to Launch New Online Bookstore ImageUniversity of Holy Cross (UHC) has selected Akademos as its new online bookstore provider to help students obtain significant savings on course materials. With more than 65 academic programs, UHC specializes in personalized education and is committed to "educating the heart as well as the mind." The institution will open the new online bookstore to support over 1,200 students for its Fall Term 2018.

Seamless integration between the student information system and the Akademos Course Materials Platform (CMP)TM will allow students to see a personalized listing of the textbooks required for each of their courses, and to order materials for an entire term in less than five minutes. A wide selection across new, used, rental and eBook formats will be offered, and when using Akademos' proprietary peer-to-peer Marketplace of over 100 million used textbooks, students will save an average of 60% off publisher list prices. Through the partnership, UHC students will also be able to leverage free shipping offers and an easy-to-use 24/7/365 online buyback program.

"UHC is dedicated to helping students make the best use of their financial resources," said Dr. Victoria Dahmes, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of Holy Cross. "We are so pleased to be partnering with Akademos to offer our students a wider variety of high quality course materials at affordable prices. By lightening the load of education-related costs for our students, we are also supporting their overall preparedness and success on campus."

In addition to course materials, UHC logo items, including apparel, will be offered via the online bookstore.

The site will also support the University's faculty and administrators, who will benefit from an easy-to-use and powerful Adoption & Analytics Portal. This platform offers a step-by-step guide for course material adoptions, recommendations and adoption history, and the ability to compare real-time prices for course materials. The analytics tool will also enable faculty and the University's leadership to track critical data, including classroom and aggregate student purchasing and bookstore utilization.

"We're looking forward to working with the University of Holy Cross to expand course material options, improve availability and provide a best-in-class personalized service for their students and faculty," said John Squires, CEO, Akademos. "In our experience, more affordable and accessible course materials drive bookstore utilization, which improves student's preparedness and overall academic success."
