Trevor Smith of Tucson, Arizona Wins L. Ron Hubbard's International Illustrators of the Future Contest

Trevor Smith of Tucson, Arizona will be honored at the 30th Annual L. Ron Hubbard Achievement awards being held 13 April 2013 in Los Angeles. The event will celebrate the twenty-four annual winners in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests, where Trevor will be one of the twelve illustrator winners. His art will also be published in the bestselling Science Fiction/Fantasy anthology series - L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume xx. He has already won $500.00 prize money for the win.

He will now compete with the remaining 11 winners for the grand prize of an additional $5,000.00.

Trevor was told about the contest from a fellow artist from Tucson and knew he wanted to try. He was planning on entering every quarter until he won. However. the wait was not long. On his first try he won.

Trevor will be flown to Hollywood to participate in a week long workshop taught by the blue ribbon panel of contest judges lead by Cliff Nielsen (Chronicles of Narnia artwork), followed by the gala awards ceremony at the end of the week.

Other judges and mentors attending during the week are Stephan Martiniere (The Fifth Element concept art), Dave Dorman (Star Wars art), Stephen Hickman (internationally commissioned artist), and Larry Elmore (Dungeons & Dragons) just to name a few.

The Contests were initiated by L. Ron Hubbard in 1983 shortly after returning to the field of science fiction with his bestseller Battlefield Earth.
