NEW YORK, NY(Marketwired - Jun 1, 2017) - ad:tech New York 2017, the original industry authority for marketing and media technology practitioners and digitally savvy brand marketers, announces the first wave of top speakers joining the agenda at its November 1-2 event. Aligning with the theme, "ad:tech: Innovation in the Post-Advertising Era," the growing roster of brand leaders, innovators and practitioners spans a number of industries and will address the next era of innovation, as the show returns to the heart of the digital community in NYC.
"When you talk to folks in the industry about the idea of the 'Post-Advertising Era,' what comes through is the idea of digital transformation, and what that looks like in the day-to-day work," said Jan Barthelemy, Global Brand Director for ad:tech and iMedia. "Advertising is by no means dead, but we're seeing a steady shift in the practitioner's balance between buying attention and having to more deeply understand the customer and figure out how to matter to them so they'll permit the brand (and the marketing of that brand) in their decision-making journey. Our speakers all get that balance and are doing the work to re-imagine their teams' use of data and technology to activate and deliver outcomes."
Over the coming months, the ad:tech team will announce agenda updates and spotlight special initiatives. The following is a preview of speakers now officially joining the November lineup:
Heidi BrownING, CMO, NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
Sports aren't immune to cord cutting. In this post-ad world, where people are consuming live sports differently, a 100-year-old brand team knows this first-hand and is going through a massive digital transformation led by Heidi, who during her session shares strategy, insights and learning with the ad:tech community.
Stuart Foster, VP, GLOBAL MARKETING, FULL SERVICE BRANDS, HILTON
In a programmatic world, rather than focusing on statistics and demographics, the consumer's want and need "states" now require a greater understanding of their behaviors, lifestyle and decision making scenarios. Stuart covers how to tap into consumer mindsets in a post-demographic world sharing actionable guidance on how a marketer can use data science and audience targeting methodology most effectively to drive outcomes.
Patrick Cassidy, GLOBAL DIGITAL BRAND MARKETING, NEW BALANCE
Responding to the "anti-ad" mindset, Patrick is responsible for marketing to the "game changer" 14-24 generation. New Balance reveals how to break through and capture this group's attention as they're zipping through their feed.
DAVE KARRAKER, VP, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS, CAMPARI AMERICA
In a post-ad world, someone like Dave knows that you must connect with your consumers authentically. One way to do that is over a shared mission, which gives meaning and generates a strong buy-in. Dave shares how Campari America has created the largest philanthropic effort and global phenomenon in the spirits industry, raising awareness, hundreds of thousands of dollars for worthy causes, and sales performance, allowing the audience to imagine their own possibilities.
"With excitement brewing around the new location at the Metropolitan Pavilion and the refreshed vision for the event, the market's response to ad:tech New York's new direction has been outstanding, with ticket sale levels not seen in over four years," continued Barthelemy. "We look forward to updating the community as the program evolves and seeing everyone there in November."
