From over two thousand years, orthodox religion has repeated its ignorance, failures, and bad choices. Religions Fail reveals the in-depth study of author Tom Dickerson as he openly examines orthodox religion's history of human rights failures, inconsistencies, abuses and atrocities according to their choices, not their rhetoric. In this work, readers will explore a groundbreaking understanding of what religions truly mean.
Religions Fail critically evaluates orthodox religions according to their history and choices, not their rhetoric, hype, blind faith, economics, and power. This book does not deny god but it questions the concepts of a domineering, loving, and omnipotent god with equanimity, compassion, empathy, vengefulness, arrogance, and child-like reasoning. It identifies humanity's problem then offers each person a path to personal freedom through balance, acceptance of responsibility, restitution, knowledge, and unconditional positive regard for all people and things.
Religions Fail does not deny god, nevertheless, it strongly questions the validity of Western Religion's concept of what a god must be like. In this work, the author questions, "How much longer can we accept orthodox religion's definition of happiness as it manifests empty rewards, deceptions, inconsistencies, and egocentric goals? How long can we flounder in this emotional, intellectual, and spiritual wasteland before we destroy all righteousness?"
Intriguing and thought-provoking, this book will educate, shock, and stimulate the reader, as it openly advocates replacement of orthodox religion's strict dogma with exercises, introspection, critical thought, meditation, personal balance, and freedom of choice. For the author, these virtues only happen when people go into their deeper selves to understand their true essence. Insightful, this work points out how every person can come to understand orthodox religion's evilness and achieve self-awareness with personal balance and acceptance of responsibility. Ultimately, this work shows how man can be the creator of his own destiny.
