Tiroler TagesZeitung Goes Live with Newscycle Advertising

NEWSCYCLE Solutions (“Newscycle”), a top provider of news media solutions around the world, is pleased to announce that Tiroler TagesZeitung, the leading daily newspaper of Tyrol, Austria, is live on the Newscycle Advertising platform.

Tiroler TagesZeitung publishes a digital news site, eight local newspapers and a daily ePaper. With 84 users at Tiroler TagesZeitung, the Newscycle Advertising system manages all advertising sales, production and billing for both digital and print products. The complete order-to-cash solution also includes Newscycle’s SalesLink, MediaLink and PGL applications.

“It was important for us to generate additional revenues across our print and digital properties, and we needed a system that could work with the many potential ad types,” said Silvia Lieb, Vice-CEO at Tiroler TagesZeitung. “We were impressed with the flexibility and ease-of-use that Newscycle Advertising provides our sales and production staff. Plus, we trust the people at Newscycle.”

Thanks to the system’s flexibility and the close cooperation of the Tiroler TagesZeitung staff, the team was able to configure the Newscycle Advertising system to meet the German language requirements and unique Austrian VAT rules.

“This was an exciting project since it required some enhancements to accommodate,” said Johan Fridery, Newscycle’s Advertising team lead. “The newspapers and the magazines used different systems for booking, and there were different interfaces needed for accounting. Tiroler TagesZeitung staff wrote some of the interfaces themselves, using Newscycle’s SAP interface tables.”
