The 5th annual Nantucket Book Festival, June 17-19, has released a schedule of ticketed events for the weekend, building on the already impressive author line-up which includes Marlon James, Sebastian Junger, Diane Rehm, and others. Ticketed events provide audiences with unique opportunities to hear and interact with their favorite authors, while playing an integral part in paying for the Festival. Over eighty percent of the Festival programs are free and open to the public.

Ticketed events include a Friday morning breakfast with Alice Hoffman and Ann Leary; lunch at the Nantucket Yacht Club with Diane Ackerman; Saturday breakfast with Newbery medal winner Jack Gantos (free for children); lunch at the Straight Wharf Restaurant with Elin Hilderbrand and Nancy Thayer; lunch with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Geraldine Brooks; a cooking demonstration at the new Nantucket Culinary Center by Michael Ruhlman; and Sunday morning breakfast at the White Elephant's Brant Point Grill with Billy Collins. Cisco Brewers will host a "Cisco Send-Off" on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the authors and volunteers who make the Festival possible

The closing program for the weekend Festival on Sunday evening, "Book to Film," is also a ticketed event and will feature Nathaniel Philbrick, Diane Ackerman, and Marlon James in conversation at the Nantucket Historical Association's Whaling Museum For full event schedule and to purchase tickets, visit http://nantucketbookfestival.org/festival-info/schedule/.
