Author Ed Fenne today announced the highly anticipated Those Amazing Dogs-series, six action packed adventure books that aim to educate people of all ages about different cultures, history and geography in a way that is fun, entertaining and easy to understand.
In the first instalment, "African River Adventure," the reader is introduced to the three main characters: Max, Molly and Oddie (a Lhasa Apso, a Yorkshire Terrier and a Pit Bull) trailing their journeys with archaeological adventurers Felix and Erica Strong, and following clues to uncover the links between lost civilizations and a map discovered among 1000 year old Viking artefacts.
In the spirit of "Indiana Jones" and other adventure classics, the dogs find themselves hot on the heels of their archaeologist companions. They venture deep into the rain forests of Africa, across the frozen Arctic, down through Mexico and to a mysterious island in the South Pacific.
"Beyond the riveting adventure unfolding in Those Amazing Dogs, the stories are built on a broad historical foundation. There is much to learn about ancient cultures and modern societies, as well as bits of science, eco-awareness, and of course exotic animals from around the world," says Ed Fenne.
Along the way, the dogs rely on their ability to make unlikely friendships to rescue their human companions and each other from traps hidden in ancient ruins, natural disasters and sinking ships.
"If working together is not always easy, the characters soon discover that having friends is the best treasure of all. Ultimately, the series is about friendship, and the importance of working as a team," says Ed Fenne.
In the series, Ed Fenne has created vibrant characters with multi-dimensional qualities whose emotions feel genuine, and actions engage. Every passage rings true, equipped with the author's passion for adventure and personal style of storytelling.
Ed Fenne is a world traveller who enjoys learning new languages, cultures and exploring. He drew inspiration from his own three dogs when writing Those Amazing Dogs.
