This rhyming story for toddlers and pre-kindergarteners follows the finicky feline Daisy when she joins her three dog friends, Smokie, Rocky, and H-Dee as they view the changing seasons through a window in their house. “The animals in this book are my actual pets,” says the author. “The inspiration for the books came from over 20 years as a pre-school teacher observing children’s behaviors.”
So, what do the cat and dogs view from their perch inside the house as the colorful seasons outside change from winter to spring, and summer to fall?
"Daisy and Friends Outside Our Window" is the third book in the beautifully illustrated Daisy and Friends series. The first book in the was "Daisy and Friends: How to Stay Healthy." Her next book will be "Daisy and Friends Waiting for the School Bus."
A portion of the proceeds from the "Daisy and Friends" book series benefits three charities: Kitty Angels, a no-kill cat shelter in Coventry, Connecticut; Protectors of Animals, a no-kill animal shelter and rescue, and Bandit’s Place, Inc., a pet rescue and adoption center, both in East Hartford, Connecticut.

About the Author: Barbara J. Meredith retired in 2013 from Kids Express Learning Center & Daycare, LLC, where she was co-owner, director, and head teacher for 14 years. “During my years as a co-owner of Kids Express Learning Center & Daycare, LLC, I would often observe the toddler and Pre-K children looking out the window. I would ask the children to describe what they were looking at.”
“This retired teacher has created a fun way for children to learn by writing an educational book series that features her own pets. What a wonderful way to learn,” said Robert Fletcher, CEO of Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Agency.
