LAS VEGAS, Feb. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ Martyn Ravenhill, entrepreneur and first-time author, is enjoying enormous success with his recently released book, The Social Stockmarket. This thought-provoking read looks at people's interactions with others as a sort of business. We give things and do things for others, and expect things in return. The book, available through Amazon as either a paperback or an eBook, features quizzes, illustrations of concepts and poses many questions for readers to ponder about.

In a recent interview with Cindy Loannidis, Martyn discussed his book and the messages that he conveys to his readers. Overall, the book is not a cynical look at our relationships with others in saying that friendships are businesses; rather, it is a realistic look into our own reasons as to why we are friends with certain people, and not friends with others.

Martyn Ravenhill says that the book was a challenge and while he knew that some of the ideals and philosophy discussed would be seen as controversial, this method of thinking has greatly helped him to develop as a person.

"It made me less demanding, more appreciative and basically, more grateful," said Martyn Ravenhill during the interview. "It's how to negotiate with people, and overall, it's made me a much fairer person, less angry with people, more forgiving and more tolerant."

The approach that Martyn lays out in the book is not only one that he preaches, but one that he actively lives as well. He says that he lives his life according to the philosophy that he discusses in The Social Stockmarket, and hopes that the tips and advice as well as the examples provided help people to strengthen their current relationships and help them to repair a friendship that may be damaged.

"It works so amazingly for me and I wanted to share it," said Martyn Ravenhill. "We're all happiest when we work these things out. It's not a bad thing it's a new way of looking at all of the issues that come with friendship."
