A lot can be learned in 84 years of life. Love, loss, disappointment and hard work can give one a certain wisdom only those of a certain age achieve.
In Ralph Will, Jr.'s new book, "The S," he takes a look back at his decades of life and all he has learned in the hopes that he can impart some of his own wisdom on others.
Will, Jr. was raised working on his grandparents' farm in Pennsylvania, and later began his career in the heart of adolescence at the age of 13 working in a coal mine for his uncle. Hard work was a necessity in his family, as Will, Jr. spent his life trying to make his father proud.
During his journey through college, the Army, and starting his own family, Will, Jr.'s story tells of his troubled relationship with his father that consumed most of his younger years and how he succeeded despite that relationship.
Will, Jr. said, "In the end of my father's life, he was proud of how I got through my life and had a good reputation from the people I worked for."
After spending 57 wonderful years with his wife, Barbara, Ralph Will, Jr. felt it was time to reflect on a life well lived. "The S" is a story of perseverance, family values and how to love and respect those that mean the most.
