Houghton Mifflin Harcourt announced today that it will publish the debut book by HGTV reality stars Jonathan and Drew Scott-known as the Property Brothers. The book, entitled Dream Home: The Property Brothers' Ultimate Guide to Finding & Fixing Your Perfect House and based on the brothers' hugely popular home improvement television programs, will be released in April 2016.

The Scotts have been helping people find affordable fixer-uppers and transform them into their dream homes on HGTV since 2010. Their hit programs Property Brothers, Buying & Selling, and Brother vs. Brother lead the network with a combined weekly viewership of 5.8 million.

The Scotts-identical twins with a singular vision-each bring their own individual expertise. Drew, a seasoned real estate agent, finds a run-down "gem" waiting for an overhaul, while Jonathan, a licensed contractor with 15 years' experience, polishes that gem to transform it into a dream home. The Scott brothers are beloved as much for their playful sibling rivalry and witty repartee as for their ability to find and transform properties. As The New York Times said last year, the brothers "have become the faces (or the face) of home renovation on television."

HMH Executive Editor Justin Schwartz said: "I was overjoyed when the opportunity came our way to publish a book with the Scott brothers, not just because I know how wildly popular their HGTV shows are, but because I'm a personal fan as well. This guide will be the ultimate resource for anyone interested in buying, selling, or renovating a home, interspersed of course with lots of the sibling banter we've all come to love."

"We are thrilled to work with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt on our first foray into the publishing realm," said Jonathan Scott. "Everyone should enjoy that feeling of calling their dream home 'home.' This book is a fun, easy, step-by-step guide toward making that happen." Drew Scott added, "We hope to inspire readers and with a few never-before-heard stories, give them a peek into our whirlwind lives."

The Canadian-born brothers are now based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have appeared on The Today Show, were profiled in The New York Times and have been featured in People magazine's 2013 "Sexiest Men Alive" issue. The book launch in April 2016 will include a coast-to-coast national tour.
