The year is 2098. The place is the western United States. A renowned archivist has stumbled on a remarkable story of love spanning the last half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. His search for the truth leads him through an intimate tale of hearts lost and a never ending quest for love.

Set for a new marketing campaign, "The Hidden Chamber: A Legendary Love Story" (published by Trafford Publishing in February of 2013) tells the story of author Virgil Ballard and the love of his life, through the eyes and mystery-filled perspective of the archivist Ben Rivera. It takes place in Nevada at a time far more advanced in the future. Ben Rivera, the archivist takes the readers in a journey to the past, picking up and putting together pieces of clues to the mystery that is Ballard's love story.

The story starts with Ben Rivera's short introduction of his life, his profession and how he came to the quest to complete a love story that transcended time. Ben Rivera's narration of his journey to unfold Ballard's decade-old love story sends the message that any story of love can transcend time and endure any adversity. Their story was still as heart-fluttering as it was decades ago.

"This book is based on an actual romance told in the future where a widely known archivist hunts for the truth about a famous love affair," Ballard says. "Much more than a romance book, this is a magnetic, enticing truth-based tale that will appeal to mature readers as well as younger romantics."
