In this new novel "The Battle for Guiniloupay," author Joseph Brown begins an epic tale of survival between a clan of guinea pigs and their nemesis, the mouse empire.

"There's definitely a sense of turmoil," Brown said. "Not everything in life happens on the better side."

The first novel in a new adventure series, the story takes readers on a journey with a clan of guinea pigs who lose their home to a storm and set out to find a new one during the middle ages.

After years of traveling they find a place to start their new home but become engulfed in a war to protect it and their freedom.

Brown, an airman in the U.S. Air Force, draws from his experience on the complexities of war throughout the plot.

"The Battle for Guiniloupay" offers readers an entertaining, adventurous story.
