The Authors' Zone announces the 3rd Annual Writers Conference on September 10, 2016 from 8AM to 5PM at the Double Tree, 1 Bigelow Square in downtown Pittsburgh. The Authors' Zone writing event is an opportunity for writers and aspiring authors to receive intense instruction over the course of one day and to discuss manuscripts with editors, attend workshops and network with successful writers, editors and publishers.
Keynote speaker is Pittsburgh author Sharon G. Flake. With millions of books in print, Ms. Flake has earned an international reputation as one of the top children and young adult authors in the field. Her breakout novel, The Skin I'm In, established her reputation as a must-read author with middle and high school students, as well as teachers, parents, and librarians.
Organizer Anna Marie Petrarca Gire, author and publisher of the Women's Yellow Pages, stated, "This is a great opportunity for budding writers to learn from other authors and experts in their fields. Areas of publishing presented include - self vs traditional publishing, elements of good fiction, diversity in writing and more."
The day-long event includes breakfast and lunch with keynote speaker, workshops and manuscript consultation with the experts. Early bird Registration is $99 until August 20, 2016. Register for The Authors' Zone Writers Conference at https://tazwrites.eventbrite.com/ or at www.theauthorszone.com
