Big things do come in small packages as Tammy Samuel, a young poet of remarkable caliber, reveals her exceptional lyrical rendition of thanksgivings, prayers and reflections in her debut book. Filled with deep-seated contemplations in diverse genres, from Cinquains, Haikus to Limericks, LOTUS features a flowing stream of verses certain to pull one's heartstrings.
An untainted talent cultivated at a very young age, Samuel always felt the urge to write poetry to express her thoughts that at the tender age of 16, she decided to compile all the poems she had written over the years; hence, the birth of a captivating poetry selection.
A compilation of the delicate craftsmanship of a young poet, she conceived these intricately weaved pieces at different stages in her life. Truly a medley of compositions in rhythmic, thought-provoking verses, this collection encompasses happiness and merriments, longings and blues, dreams and aspirations, and love and reminiscences. Readers can follow her candid thoughts as a voice of today's youth in Honesty: Best policy and Just As You Are as she magnifies her intellections and cerebrations in Generation of today, Through the Eyes of a Fly and How Will This World Turn Out?
In Samuel's new book, even the young have something relevant to say and contribute if only society could lend ears to them. An absorbing and attention-grabbing collection, Lotus is a valuable poetry book beyond compare.
