THE Z-5 INCIDENT is Released

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla.

On a Sept. 8, 1993 issue of "The New York Times": "The Senator, Robert C. Smith, contends that the 10 (senior Federal officials) were trying to cover up evidence about Americans missing and perhaps captured in Vietnam." This is but a glimpse of the "live prisoners" debate, an issue about American servicemen still living in captivity as prisoners of war (POW) that the government has either covered up or failed to acknowledge.

Author Bob Miller has spent 28 years in the intelligence world. He notes that, to date, there are 150,000 American families who do not believe that they have been told the truth regarding the 83,000 still listed as prisoner-of-war (POW)/ missing-in-action (MIA) from World War II, Korea and Vietnam. This issue is what inspired and motivated him to write "The Z-5 Incident" (published by Xlibris).

After over 40 years of imprisonment, being left for dead by the very government he swore to serve, Paul Carter escapes his Russian captors to seek retribution. Vengeance comes swiftly as the former POW roots out his betrayers in Washington. This work of military fiction seizes the reader's attention into a tale marked by the cold hard reality of actual servicemen abandoned on foreign soil; a betrayal on the promise of there being no one left behind.

Although a work of fiction, "The Z-5 Incident" reflects a real and serious issue that ought to be addressed. Miller hopes that, in reading his book, people will come to feel outrage and sadness regarding the government's unreliability when it comes to the truth.
