Psychotherapist and esteemed medium Madys Mary Bannister Sloane has lived well in two complementary worlds, the material and the spiritual. In her new book, The Teaching of Thomas: Given through Madys Mary, she shares the remarkable journey that she embarked on in order to find her place in both worlds. This firsthand account is a trove of insights on the modern human condition and practical advice on spiritual and physical growth.
Sloane began to explore her psychic ability after a near-death experience while she was ill with typhoid fever at age four. Her parents, who also had psychic abilities, guided her while growing up. Finally, it was when she had a meditation class vision as a young woman that she found her spirit guide, Thomas.
While the relationship between Sloane and her spirit guide, Thomas, has a rich diversity, this book's origin is a unique circumstance. Thomas asked Sloane to let him give teaching while she was in a deep trance; to this she agreed. She remembers much that Thomas said in other situations, but has very little recollection of the teaching sessions. The Teaching of Thomas covers most issues of the modern human condition. It contains perspectives about the things that people are to learn while on earth- practical advice for keeping the body and the spirit in balance and knowledge that is usually outside anyone's life experience.
Insightful and truly extraordinary, The Teaching of Thomas is at once a unique exploration of some of the issues that confront today's society and a guide for living a life of expanded consciousness and spiritual fullness.
