Florence Mae Brentano marks her debut in the world of literature with the release of her book, "The Recycling of Joan" (published by Xlibris). In her first novel, Brentano tells the story of a woman on a quest to make her dreams come true, the risks and rewards that gave meaning to her journey.
In "The Recycling of Joan", readers will follow the title character, Joan, as she attempts to realize her dreams. The journey ahead is filled with love, loss, struggles, successes, testing Joan's faith and fortitude. This story, is not just a tale of a woman who dared to overcome great odds, it also renders in rich storytelling the indomitable human spirit, the complexities of human relationship and the power of love.
Brentano wrote "The Recycling of Joan" back in the 1970s but it was only recently that she rediscovered the manuscript. Like the protagonist of her story, she decided to also pursue her own dream of becoming an author.
