THE POP-UP KID by Noah Jacobson is Available Now

Child abuse is one of the most heinous crimes anyone can imagine.

The 2012 report from the United States Department of Health and Human Services estimated that 1,640 children died as a result of abuse and neglect in the U.S. For those who survive, the effects of it can last for a long time and can cause serious problems with trust and love in relationships.

The new book "The Pop-Up Kid" is Noah Jacobson's new memoir chronicling the horrible abuse he suffered, but more importantly - it is about overcoming it. Jacobson says he has physically and emotionally recovered from almost all of the abuse's effects on his life. As a child, his legs were crushed by his mother's car, but he moved on to a successful career in the U.S. Army, extreme sports and has risen to a level of fame as a popular singer in Germany.

"I want to raise awareness of the effects of child abuse and help those who are suffering from it find the hope, strength and confidence to stand up and move on with their lives," Jacobson said.

Violence touched the lives of those around him as well. One of Jacobson's goals in writing this book was to find the parents of two children who were killed. He wants to be able to tell their families what really happened.

"I would like to assist the authorities in the capture of at least the man responsible for the death of the little girl, Clarice, that is featured in my book." Jacobson has a good idea of where this man is located. "They should know what really happened," he said.

About the author
Donald Williams published this book under the pen name Noah Jacobson. He didn't want any potential success from his book associated with his father's name. Williams had a long career in the Army and now as a singer for "Sweet Soul Music Review, the Suggah Daddy Band and Soul Train. He has performed for President Clinton, Colon Powell, Ray Charles, Lou Bega and James Brown. He currently lives in Frankfurt, Germany and tours internationally.
