MARENGO, Ill., Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ Award-winning Christian author Dr. Edward F. Mrkvicka has announced the release of his newest book. Titled "The Plot to Kill God," the controversial release is already generating quite a bit of attention across both religious and secular communities.

The book offers a unique perspective about the current state of Christian spirituality and Biblical doctrines in the wake of contemporary society and politics. It provides a social commentary that has remained largely unheard throughout religious and political circles.

"[The book] is a call to arms against the many enemies of God who are in the process of destroying the America that once was," Dr. Mrkvicka discussed. "It pulls no punches and names names in the raging war between good and evil."

According to Dr. Mrkvicka, the book should not be classified under the 'Christian reading' category alone. Instead, it showcases a new line of thought far beyond its religious context. "This is not 'just' a Christian book," Mrkvicka continued, "but a completely new view of social commentary and politics." The goal is to reshape how people think about their beliefs in God and how they live their lives in accordance with Scripture and American living.

One of the largest groups Dr. Mrkvicka calls out may not be what readers expect. He believes that it's Christians themselves who are hurting the belief in God the most.

"The biggest enemies of God are worldly 'Christians' and churches who have replaced the Word of God with secular lies masquerading as Gospel," Mrkvicka reflected. "Churches that go along to get along, and ministers who see their pastorship as a job instead of a spiritual calling."

There's no doubt that the nature of the book has already created some controversy and that's precisely the goal. Mrkvicka's sharp criticism of contemporary Christianity is meant to elicit a conversation. His hope is that the conversation leads the state of Christendom and American culture into a better place than it currently rests now.

"The Plot to Kill God" is available at bookstores throughout the country. It can also be purchased online through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
