Author Rosie Roberson releases her publication, "The Hocatown Factory" (published by Xlibris). This book chronicles Charlene's experience as she is forced by her husband to work in a factory that employs children and illegal workers.

Charlene lived a quiet country life in a farmhouse with her three adorable cocker spaniels until her husband, the Old Man, forced her into a job at the local factory. The factory was a sweatshop, using illegal workers and child labor. She has to endure long hours of manual labor and poor working conditions. She felt worthless accepting her meager paycheck as her value as a person. How will she survive this kind of life?

A story of perseverance and survival, Roberson's novel follows a realistic plot in a factory life, depicting the difficulties of workers under a poor working environment and the dangers they face every day. She also sheds light into the many problems surrounding immigration, illegal workers and minimum wage. Charlene is a richly drawn character who embodies a strong personality, emphasizing that fact that she is an individual and not an invisible workforce.

"The Hocatown Factory" reveals to readers the importance of courage, hard work and the will to survive despite seemingly insurmountable odds.
