Andrew J. da Silva is known for his philosophical work Do from the Octave of Man Number Four, expounding on specific ideas advanced by the famous Russian prerevolutionary authors George Gurdjief and P.D. Ouspensky. Mr. da Silva has a B.A. from the college of New Rochelle, an M.A. from Hunter College and an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps which he joined at 16 by forging his age. He was born in New York City during the morning of July 20, 1931.
