Starting a business from scratch can be a daunting task. Author George Konstand is an entrepreneur hoping to shed light on what it takes for a person to become his or her own boss. His new book, "The Game Entrepreneur" (published by Balboa Press AU), examines the skills and mindset necessary to accomplish this task.

"The Game Entrepreneur" looks to empower young entrepreneurs by helping them discover themselves. By looking at the psychology of entrepreneurs, Konstand hopes to provide invaluable information regarding the creativity and outlook required to be a business owner.

"This book is an analysis of human neorocircuitry, psychology and emotional reaction and response patterns to understand the thinking behind niche markets and consumers (introduction to behavioral economics)," Konstand says. "It combines science with ancient philosophy to provide a method in understanding human consciousness, while presenting a unique approach to building a brand, marketing and achieving personal enlightenment."

An excerpt from "The Game Entrepreneur":

"Consider that, in order for something to be true or for us to believe in it, we have to want to. The question is never about what or who but always about why. (...) what is curious to me is the very little we seem to want to know about why. This is where it gets interesting. What if we could possess a perspective that allowed us to play with why, influence why, shape why, and change why. Then it all becomes a game of influence."
