About the Authors
Maureen Cochram was born in South Australia and now lives in Fleurieu Peninsula. After a career in education including numerous appointments as school principal and superintendent, she has established her own business as a transition coach and mentor. She is a professional accredited retirement coach. She is also the author of a book of poetry, "Acceptance - caring for others, caring for ourselves." She is the mother of two sons and a daughter, and the grandmother of five young children. Her current interests include family history research, gardening, reading, walking, writing, volunteering on community boards and enjoying time with family and friends.

Clare Eacott lives near the sea on the south coast of Adelaide. She worked as a children's librarian and library manager before changing direction and moving into knowledge management and public policy. She is passionate about the power of stories and storytelling and as a member of the Adelaide-based group Amaranth, has contributed to their new CD of Indian folk tales. When not walking with Rosie Bulldog, she loves reading, writing, travelling, gardening, motor bike riding, volunteering and spending time with family and friends. She has a son and daughter and is now a grandmother of two girls and a boy.
