As the common saying goes, "You are what you eat." It is true that the food we put into our bodies plays a huge role in determining our overall health. This is especially true for the food we feed our children.
Wellness expert and educator Susan Tate explores the importance of infant nutrition in her updated third edition of "Into the Mouths of Babes." Tate brings her expertise to the dinner table by writing a comprehensive and easy-to-follow nourishment guide. She offers non-judgmental support coming from her experience as a mother and grandmother.
"My book appears to be about food," Tate said. "It has everything that parents will need to know about how to feed their infant or toddler in the best way possible. I mean for it to be far more than a book about infant nutrition and recipes. It's really about love."
Compiled from over 30 years of research and experience, Tate's guide offers all varieties of whole food recipes, nutritional information and tips for planning the dietary needs of children. This new edition also includes tips for families dealing with food sensitivities like gluten intolerance. Like the previous editions, it also offers comprehensive prenatal and infant nutrition information, along with over 175 recipes.
Dr. Christiane Northrup, OB/GYN physician and a leading authority in the field of women's health and wellness, said Tate's guide is, "a fabulous book full of absolutely everything needed to provide babies with the nutritional foundation to set the stage for a lifetime of health and well-being."
