Self-publisher, Chapter Dynamics announced today the release of a new children's chapter book series that is focused on helping struggling young readers build self-esteem and a desire to read. I Wish I Lived In a World... is a four part series consisting of fictional stories that have the look and feel of traditional young-reader chapter books, but are written for children with limited decoding skills.

The books have few pictures, simplified sentences, and a higher story content. Each book includes characters, setting, problems, and solutions and are aligned to the Common Core Standards for Reading Foundational Skills and the Five Pillars of Literacy from the National Reading Panel: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary and Comprehension.

"My seven year old daughter was desperate to read a chapter book," says Susan Storch, parent of a struggling reader. "Once we picked up I Wish I Lived In a World...Where We Could Fly, she began to read it on her own, something that her reading skills had always prohibited her from doing. She couldn't believe she was actually reading a chapter book! As a parent, it was unbelievable to see her confidence immediately grow."

The creators of the Sentrac5 reading program and authors of the I Wish I Lived In a World...series, Dawn Levy M.S.Ed., and Stephanie Schneider M.S.Ed., are dedicated to helping struggling readers learn to read. Dawn has worked as a learning specialist in New York City elementary schools. She also has a private practice working with students in reading, writing, and mathematics. Stephanie teaches first grade at the Battery Park City School in New York City. She is passionate about teaching and helping children build self-confidence, critical thinking skills, and expand their creativity.

The book series consists of four books: I Wish I Lived In a World...Where Zoo Animals Were Pets, I Wish I Lived In a World...Where We Could Fly, I Wish I Lived In a World...In Outer Space, and I Wish I Lived In a World...Underwater.

I Wish I lived In a World...is available at chapterdynamics.com and Amazon.com for $9.99. The books are also available as e-books on Amazon, iTunes, and Barnes & Noble.
