Steven Reginald Tryk, a retired Navy service man, has completed his new book "The Last Summer of World War II" a moving semi-autobiographical story about a boy in a California beach town during World War II and his daily routine of protecting his small beach neighborhood. With the help of two colorful characters, the boy discovers he can end the war, but to do so, he will have to put his own life in peril.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Tryk's touching tale explores whether the sacrifices the boy will have to make will be worth it to restore his mother's joy or be enough to bring his father home from the war.

Readers who wish to experience this engrossing work can purchase "The Last Summer of World War II" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
